Chrystal R. Koch, Esq. brings a deep commitment to serving her community and a wealth of legal experience to her practice in elder law and estate planning. Born and raised in Sarasota, Florida, she has remained rooted in the community she calls home, and understands the unique needs of local families.

After graduating from Pine View School here in Sarasota, Chrystal earned her B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in French from the University of Florida in 2003, followed by her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2007. She was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court in 2018, reflecting her commitment to excellence in the legal profession.

For 18 years, Chrystal dedicated herself to practicing family law, including 11 years as the owner of her own practice. While she found great fulfillment in helping families navigate difficult transitions, she recently made the decision to transition into elder law and estate planning—a change that allows her to continue helping people while focusing on areas of law that better align with her desire to provide thoughtful, comprehensive guidance during important life planning moments.

Chrystal chose to join our firm because she values the collaborative, approachable environment here that allows her to build meaningful relationships with clients. Having navigated elder law issues within her own family, she brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to the practice. She knows firsthand the challenges families face when dealing with aging loved ones and complex legal matters, which allows her to provide compassionate, informed guidance to clients going through similar experiences.

Having spent her entire career in Sarasota, Chrystal has a deep understanding of the local community and takes pride in helping her neighbors plan for their futures and protect what matters most to them. She is a member of both the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Association of Florida Elder Law Attorneys, ensuring she stays connected to the latest developments in her field for her clients.
