Teresa K. Bowman P.A. is an Estate Planning and Elder Law firm headed by Sarasota Elder Law Attorney Teresa K. Bowman, Esq.
My mission is simple. I listen and help you and your family develop a plan to meet your needs. This usually starts with a review of your current estate planning documents and your overall goals.
I love my work and strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable to share your story and allow us to establish a relationship of trust and confidence.
I assist my clients with estate planning for asset protection, planning for spendthrift or disabled adult children, or planning for minor children with special needs.
I assist clients with long term care planning to include qualification for Medicaid, VA benefits or protection of assets with the creation of irrevocable trusts.
I assist clients with probate and trust administration and, lastly, I help families deal with many other issues that arise when dealing with a difficult illness and the care of a loved one.
I approach my work as a problem solver and my goal is to help you and your family deal with the problems you currently face or that you may face. Many times you may not immediately need my services, but the services of others in the community. A big part of my job is connecting you with those that can help and I enjoy the teamwork that evolves as we work together to create a workable solution.
Please call me to arrange a time to discuss your situation and needs.
I graduated from Stetson College of Law in 2005 with a concentration in elder law. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 2006, I have worked and practiced exclusively as an elder law attorney since that time. My practice is focused specifically on long term care planning to include Medicaid planning, planning to qualify for Veterans Benefits, and protection of assets for spouses and families in the community. "In October 2009, my fiancé (and future wife) and I wanted to have estate documents prepared. Upon the recommendation of friends, we contacted an elder law firm in Sarasota, FL. We were assigned to Teresa K. Bowman, an estate planning and elder law attorney. Over the course of several months, she helped us to develop and refine our documents to our exact specifications and requirements, with our complete satisfaction. During the next few years, various modifications to our documents were required, and she helped us to implement these changes, always with absolute professionalism and precision, and with a warm, friendly manner. Incidentally, Teresa Bowman, serving in the role of Justice of the Peace, presided over our wedding ceremony in May, 2010. It was the first wedding ceremony she had ever performed, so we trust that it is just as memorable an event for her as it was for us.In 2014, when Teresa Bowman established her own Estate Planning and Elder Law practice, we, of course, transferred our accounts to her new firm. She has since implemented additional modifications to our estate documents, with the same high level of service that we have come to expect and appreciate. We would have absolutely no reservations in recommending Teresa Bowman and her firm to anyone who has need of the services she renders." - Robert G. and Judith L. Hores
